Shirt Card

Here are directions for a card in the shape of a shirt. it opens to include a message on the inside.

2.

In order to fit the final shirt into a quarter page envelope, choose a piece of paper 10 inches long by 7 1/2 inches wide (or less). Fold in half lengthwise then fold both sides to middle.

3.

Open paper and fold bottom two corners to the side folds.

4.

Fold the sides into center as shown.

5.

It will now look like this.

6.

At dashed fold line, fold up and crease well.

Then unfold it.

7.

The next step is too hard to diagram and a little tricky to do. Take the point by A and fold back to side fold B. Then do same on other side.

8.

Push outwards where shown.

9.

Bend entire lower portion up. The two pointy edges will be sleeves.

10.

Fold about a half inch on to to the other side.

11.

Fold top outside corners to the center. Fairly close to top edge. These will form collar.

12.

13.

Bend the bottom up and insert under the collar.

14.

Decorate with buttons and pocket or as desired.

This will be a little shirt that you can attach to a greeting card. Start with a square piece of paper. Perhaps 2 x 2, 3 x 3 or 4 x 4 inches. Fold it in half, then fold the sides in to center.

Next bend the bottom up to the back. Make collar by bending the little flaps in front.

Turn over to back and bend triangle as shown. These will be sleeves when turned over.
Finally add buttons, pocket or whatever you want. You can cut a curve in the neck opening.
